Our Unique Team Approach
At Gorman and Jones, we bring more than 40 years of combined experience in college admissions counseling—and we are still working with students in schools every day. Because we actively support teenagers through the academic, social, and emotional realities of high school, we bring a current, practical perspective to the college admissions process. Over the course of our careers, we have helped hundreds of students discover colleges where they will grow, succeed, and truly thrive. What makes Clifton and Richard unique is that every family works directly with both of us, benefiting from our combined expertise, perspectives, and commitment to personalized guidance.

Beyond our daily work with students, we remain actively engaged in the profession through national associations, conferences, and regular campus visits across the United States and internationally. We also support access initiatives that expand college opportunities for students from under-resourced communities. Having worked closely with students and families in a wide range of settings, we understand the academic, emotional, and logistical complexities of the high school years and the college application process.

Clifton Jones
With over two decades of experience, Clifton Jones brings extensive experience working with students and families as they navigate important educational decisions. His approach focuses on helping students clarify their goals, identify their strengths, and develop a thoughtful college strategy that reflects both academic interests and personal aspirations. Clifton is known for building strong relationships with students and creating a supportive environment where they can grow in confidence while managing the many moving pieces of the college application process.
Richard Gorman
For twenty plus years, Richard Gorman has spent much of his professional career working with young people as they plan for their futures. With a background in counseling and higher education, he has deep experience helping students navigate the academic, personal, and emotional aspects of the college search and application process. Richard works closely with students to craft compelling applications that highlight their strengths, experiences, and unique perspectives, while also helping families make informed and thoughtful decisions about college.
